Regulatory Calendar Update
The Virginia Waste Management Board Meeting, originally scheduled for December 12, 2001 (no quorum), then January 3, 2002 (cancelled due to snow) will now be held on Monday, January 14, 2002. At this meeting, the Board will take action on the proposed Amendment 3 of the Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations, as well as other proposed and final regulations. The tentative agenda and other meeting information are presented below.

GOV. ELECT WARNER has nominated Robert Burnley, former Department of Environmental Quality Director of Program Support and Evaluation as new Director of DEQ. Until his approval by the General Assembly, David Johnson will serve as acting Director.
